Who we are
We are people who love King Jesus. We gather together as family because the gospel is transforming our hearts and changing our lives. We gather together as a community of people with diverse stories from all over our neighbourhood.
While we do gather together regularly to worship and love, we really worship and love when we scatter into our neighbourhoods and love to the extent that we were meant to. We want to be generous with what we have - always asking where we can give more of ourselves away. We gather to learn, grow and be encouraged so that we can scatter and be the church, not just go to one.
Our Rhythms
Following Jesus is not about a list of things to do but a new life rhythm. At Richmond that looks like gathering as an extended family on Sundays, as family in Gospel Groups during the week and in pairs to read the bible together in coffee shops and homes.
The Gospel
We believe that Jesus is the King of all things. King Jesus came to seek and save the least, the last, and the lost and offer them citizenship in his Kingdom. Jesus gave his life and then rose again providing the way to real life. He continues to transform us from the inside out to live out the gospel that we believe. King Jesus is bringing his Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven and he invites us to partner with him to bring life and light to the whole world.
We are part of a family of churches called Baptist Churches of SA. You can read more about our shared foundational values here.
